When the locker participates
in the design instead of interrupting it.

Most locker specifications begin too late, after the primary finishes are set, after the layout is fixed, after the design language has been established. The result is a product that occupies space without participating in it.

High-design configurable lockers exist outside that default. Broader material range, higher volume, no radiused corners. Textured and patterned door faces. Acoustic inserts. Configurations that integrate with the architecture, wall-adjacent, built-in, end-cap, or island, or that stand apart from it entirely.

High-Design Door Options

The door face carries more design weight than any other surface in the specification.

Surface that reads from across the room.

Reeded profiles, wave emboss, geometric relief, checkerboard woodgrain. Texture that gives the door presence before the room registers anything else. Specified per column or uniformly across the run, each creates a different material character from the same structural system.

Architectural millwork detail, at locker scale.

An inset door that sits within the door plane rather than flush to it. The shaker profile reads as casework: appropriate to lobbies, amenity corridors, and anywhere the locker specification is expected to hold the same standard as the surrounding millwork.

When no standard finish gets you there.

Custom color, pattern, or graphic applied to the door surface. The option when the design calls for a brand-specific tone, a material reference that doesn't exist in any standard palette, or a graphic detail that belongs to this space and no other.

Configurations

Built for the space it lives in.

Lockers don't have to look like lockers. Integrated seating, benching niches, and island configurations mean storage can anchor a space as furniture, not interrupt it as equipment.

Integrated Benching

The bench isn't added on. It's designed in.

A locker run without a bench is a locker run that asks people to balance on one foot. Integrated benching solves this, but when it's designed rather than bolted on, it does more than that.

The best locker specifications treat the bench as part of the composition, not an afterthought.

Wood niche cutouts, padded cantilevered seats, built-in ledges: each option shifts the locker wall from functional object to designed element. The result reads as millwork, not product.

Unique Configurations

Islands. Corridors. Dividers. The footprint is flexible.

Lockers are typically wall-adjacent. They don't have to be. Island configurations turn storage into spatial architecture: a zone divider, a corridor anchor, a freestanding element in the center of a floor plate.

When storage occupies the middle of the room, it has to earn its place. These configurations do.

Wave-texture dividers, back-to-back quartz-topped islands, and color-blocked horizontal mail runs all began as locker specifications. The space just required something more considered than a wall.

New Corporate Headquarters  ·  Tech Industry

A building designed with intention at every surface. We proposed the lockers be one of them.

The project came in with its own renderings. A new headquarters, a fully designed building, materials and palette already committed. Lockers hadn't made it into the scope yet.

We proposed that a building this considered shouldn't treat lockers as an afterthought.

After a few meetings with the lead designer, we pulled together an inspiration deck: shaker profiles, textured door options, finish combinations drawn from the palette already in the building. Physical door samples followed, a flat shaker and a radius-corner version in Salinas Oak, so the decision could be made by hand, not by rendering.

The project landed on the low-profile walnut shaker. It reads as millwork from the corridor. In this building, that was the only outcome that made sense.

Financial Services Headquarters  ·  Dallas, TX

An inspiration board from an architecture team. A color extracted from the client's brand palette.

The design team shared a reference image. The detail they kept returning to was a deep violet, a tone that lived in the client's brand palette and that they wanted interpreted in the locker specification.

We proposed three material interpretations, each with a distinct character and a complete quote. They chose the one where the color was most present.

Option one placed Abet Laminati Viola Madris as a self-edge on the door: the purple visible only when the door opens, revealed in the gap between closed doors as a 1/16" line of color. Option two brought it forward as a 3mm PVC edge band, visible at all times as a deliberate border against the charcoal Traceless HPL door face. Option three used the same banding with a natural linen carcass interior.

The installed version is option two. Charcoal Traceless HPL doors. Viola Madris banding. The purple reads exactly as the architecture team intended: present, intentional, and specific to this project.

Lock options are limited to mechanical or standalone electronic locks: RFID, PIN, and batteryless options, each operating independently without network infrastructure, software platforms, or subscription-based access systems.

Once installed, they are furniture-grade storage products. Nothing more is required to operate them.
